Zilla was founded by architect Sylvia Pichler in 2005, drawing on a lifelong fascination with materials and construction, Pichler creates bags that combine architectural and industrial influences with the delicate craftsmanship of Italian leather. Each piece is handcrafted in Northern Italy near Venice, made using carefully selected materials, often incorporating repurposed elements that are given new life through innovative construction.
