Klasica

Klasica is a one-man show based out of Shimokitazawa in Tokyo, Japan. Growing up in the seaside town of Hokkaido, Klasica founder and designer Kohei Kawamura has always been fascinated by the art of tailoring. Taking inspiration from workwear and military uniforms throughout history and from all over the world, Kohei’s work is decidedly Japanese in craftsmanship and quality of fabric. 

Kohei Kawamura has been known to spend small fortunes on antique Japanese fireman jackets and historical French military uniforms, just so he can pick them apart for their patterns. Cotton and linen-obsessed, Kohei makes every single piece in the Klasica range with his own two hands, and only presents a collection after months of experimentation with his fabrics du jour.
