The beauty of cymbidium closely mirrors the feminine ideal envisioned by Pas de Calais. A perennial plant native to southeast Asia & Australia, it is known for it's robust endurance and relative resilience to cold temperatures, emodying a blend of beauty and strength. In the language of flowers, cymbidiums are recognised for their modesty and sincere affection. The flowers, stems and leaves are used as dye sources, resulting in exquisitely coloured fabrics.
