Introducing a new style to the Metta Melbourne collection, the Morgan is a minimal sleeveless top inspired by our long sleeve Sailor Top, though with exaggerated detailing and a boxier cut. Featuring a straight neckline, triangle detailing in the collar, and side splits at the hem. The oversized cut in this limited edition opaque linen pattern allows The Morgan Top to be worn with nothing underneath in summer, or layered over warmer layers when needed.
Available now in a limited edition French Ticking Stripe, and crafted from light-weight linen. Ticking Stripe was originally known as ‘ticking fabric’ and made from thickly woven cotton or linen. ‘Ticking’ comes from the Greek word ‘theka’, which means ‘case’ or ‘covering’ as this delightful fabric was used in the home to cover mattresses, keeping straw and feathers in nicely. We fell in love with this timeless stripe many years ago, and love to incorporate it into our collections.
