Each year we travel all over the world to cherry pick the most beautiful labels from near and far. It's easy to find pieces that just look beautiful in a shoot, but Japanese label gauze follows through with fabrics that are also a joy to have against the skin. Classic stripes at Scarlet Jones

We love a good stripe at Scarlet Jones. The classic Breton is such a timeless and classic piece that is so easy to style with your favorite pants or skirt and is also an easy piece to layer up.

Scarlet Jones has been a long time stockist of the historic French label St James and now we are also proudly stocking another classic French breton label, Armor lux.

Armor lux is known for its iconic Breton striped Marinere shirt which it has been producing for more than 75 years in the City of Quimper in Brittany, France.The striped shirt was originally designed to help distinguish the French Naval sailors from the waves so they can be spotted more easily when they fell overboard. At the time, the French navy hailed from Brittany, so the shirt was named the “Breton” shirt and had 21 stripes – one for each of Napoleon’s victories.
